Can you tell?

can you tell?

 Situation 1:

Imagine 4 people were put like the picture above. A wearing yellow hat and is sitting behind the wall and cannot see the other 3 people. B were sitting in front of the wall wearing red hat. C is wearing a yellow hat and D is wearing a red hat. All of them did not know what color is the hat that they are wearing. They were wearing their hats while they are blindfolded. They were regulated not to tell their friends the colors of their friends hat or asking them for theirs. They cannot turn their back. They can only look straight from the position of their sittings. What they only know is 4 of them are wearing 2 red hats and 2 yellow hatsEach of them were asked to determine what color are their own hat and gave a theory to strengthen their answers. A did not know what color is his hat. He also did not know each of the other 3 persons hat. B is in the same situation of A because he only can stare the wall. Whereas C can see what color of hat is B wearing. D can see both B & C hats. So, maybe he has a bigger chance on building a theory for his hat color or maybe not.

Situation 2:

A person will come to each one of them and ask them base on their situation, can they determine a theory of what colors of their hats are they wearing. Lets name him The Host. All four of them are able to hear each of the persons conversation between the host. The host will ask A. “Do you know what color of your hat?”. Of course A will answer no because he is sitting in front of the wall and cannot see the other 3 person. The host will ask B the same question. B will answer no also. The host then go to C & D asking the same question. But both of them asnwer no. After 5 minutes, the host ask four of them the same question again. But this time there is only one person have the answer. Can you tell which person is that and why? Common guys, put your answer in the comments below. Lets see who can answer this riddle. 😀

sy brpndapat, C yg tau dia pkai warna apa..here it goes :

msa host tu tnya D, dia kata dia tatau dia pkai warna apa..padahal klu C tu pkai merah, D msti la tau dia pkai warna apa kn..sbb dia boleh tgk B n sedia maklum cuma ada dua je topi merah..tp bila host tnya D, dia tatau..so C ada teori yg katakan topi dia xsama dgn B…

ksimpulan, dia tau yg topi dia warna kunig~~

    faham x ek?

If D answer is no, then both of B and C is not wearing the same colour. If both of them are wearing the same colour, then D will know his hat colour because there can only be 2 hat with the same colour and both B and C have different colour. C know that B has red hat and from D answer he knew that they have different hat, so his hat must be yellow.

logically, C have the best chance to know what colour of hat he is wearing. Maybe he will pick yellow as of his hat colour. This is because, if i am C, i will only see B’s hat which is red, and the other 3 hats (A’s hat, D’s hat and C’s hat which is mine) would be Red, Yellow and Yellow.. so, the probability for C’s hat is to be Yellow is 2 out of 3.. = 0.66/1

A and D have a 50/50 chance to know their hat whether it is red or yellow. A didnt know anything at all, so the chance is 2 out of 4 = 0.5/1

Same as D, he have the 50/50 chance because he only see B’s hat and C’s hat, but the other 2 hat’s which is his and A’s (maybe red or yellow), he didn’t know.. So, the probability is 1 out of 2 = 0.5/1

for the first time the host ask to D, if D can answer what hat is he wearing, it means that he saw B and C hats is the same colour, (B is yellow and C is yellow OR B is red and C is red..) Therefore, D will answer his hat is Red if B and C hats is yellow and yellow respectively OR D will answer his hat is Yellow if B and C hats is red and red respectively.. (so this question will not be given.. hahaha..)

Actually, C is waiting for D’s answer, if D say he didn’t know what colour of hat is D is wearing, it’s a clue for C to think that D is seeing red and yellow hat (which is B’s and C’s hat).. And C is seeing B’s hat which is red, so.. confim he knows he is yearing yellow!!!!! So, for the second time when the question is given to C, he will simply say that his hat is yellow in colour..

    =) =) nice mind boggling..
