I feel = (happy + sad) * guilt

Last tuesday I went for a 2nd interview. A followup for my previous interview with a big company. Lets name the company as Company C. I thought they wanna interview me again because they wanna ask some technical questions from a technical guy. I was wrong. My friend was right. He already mention to me that 2nd inteview is just a procedure. The fact is, I was accepted working in the company. They offer me a better salary than my current company. A way lot better than my current company. I like the benefits. The first 6 months I will undergo a probation and training period. Afterwards I will get a letter of confirmation and a raise. Could you believe that? I was screaming in my heart when hearing he said that. “Yes!!!” Oh, I forget to tell you. The interviewer is Mr Ho. One of the project manager in the company. I wasnt finish ’screaming’ Mr. Ho added his statements by saying that i will get the 2 annual bonuses. I scream again “Yes!! Yes!! Yes!!!” He said that I would make a good career with this company. The offer is too good to be true. Well, that was for me lah. For a guy that just have a year experience working in IT field doing PHP and still got a lot to learn. Mr Ho ask me to wait for the company’s offer letter that the HR will pass to me this week. He then congratulated me for successfully pass the interview and finally working with the company.

I felt really happy at that day and untill today my bos talk to me about the coming projects. He said that I would handle a big project. I like big projects, it was like music to my ears. But suddenly I realise that I’m going to leave this company. This company is a good company. No doubt about it. The bos never scold at me. He even guided me all the way through out the whole year. Telling me what to do, what to expect, what i wasn’t suppose to do.  Here, the environment is so great. I really like working here. Infact I love working here at my current company. The staffs are all great. They all gave great cooperation when i need them. We were always making jokes and laughing together. The seniors, they were all brilliants in their jobs. They were so helpful. You could just ask them anything and they would help you as much as they can. Nothing can compare to them. They are just great. This is my first company that I ever step my foot on working in IT fields and still I’m having a great time. There are many ups and downs but that what colours the working environments, our friendships what makes us keep going and working and never give up, fullfilling our responsibilities as software developers. Because we always know that we all have each other to depend on when at rough times.

All of that makes me sad just by thingking that I would leave the company, that I would leave all of that. The reason I’m leaving is solely because money. End of this year, I’m getting married. There were a lot of things need to be taken care of. Things that need money. A lot of it. Sometimes I feel guilty because I am just becoming more and more like a slave to money. What to do? I’m just follows how the world goes around. Because they said ’Money makes the world goes around’.

 I feel really sad about leaving this company. I haven’t told my bos yet. I don’t know how to say it. I’m actually hate to say “Bos, I got a better offer from other company. Here is my resignation letter for a notice of one month” to him. Many times I put some taughts on getting the words right. It just does not came out right to me and obviously not to my bos…

Lampu Tinggi!! What is your problem?

Tension la aku kalo orang pasang lampu tinggi ni. Pagi tadi aku balik dari Banting ke Kota Damansara. Ade plak kereta yang pasang lampu tinggi duk belakang aku. “What the hell… What is your problem?. Giler ape. Tk sedar ke ko pasang lampu tinggi, ko buat orang lain silau tau tk.” Aku rasa panas plak time tu. So aku pun slow kn la kereta. Biar dia potong. Pastu biler dia potong, aku terus ekor belakang dia. Masa untuk pembalasan. Aku plak pasang lampu tinggi duk belakang dia. Skang ape dia rasa. Aku perasan dia dh mula nk lari. Kekiri, kekanan, kekiri lagi pastu kekanan lagi. Aku mmg tkkn lepaskan mamat ni. Kurang ajar btul bawak keter pasang lampu tinggi. Mmg dia bawak laju gak la. Walaupun aku bwk kenari cc1.0 je dan dia plak pki proton iswara 1.3, tapi mungkin dia takut nk speeding so mmg lama la aku melekat la kat belakang dia. Baru dia tau ape rasanya kalo orang belakang pasang lampu tinggi.
Aku bukan la gengster jalanan ataupun nk tunjuk aku ni pemandu yang bagus ke atau nk kata aku ni baik. Tapi sepatutnya pemandu lebih menghormati pemandu lain bila kat jalan raya. Jangan suka2 bukak lampu tinggi. Igt ko sorang je ke yang bayar cukai jalan?
Bila dh lama aku main tail-getting dengan dia, aku pun terus potong dia. Dia plak try nk kejar aku. Agaknya dia tensen jugak kot sebab aku buat dia mcm tu. Tapi dia tk pikir plak ape yang dia dh buat td. Hmmm…. nmpk nya cara aku mengajar dia sememang nya silap. Aku plak kena kejar. Tapi tak lama la dia kejar aku. Sebab nmpk mcm dia mls nk bawak laju pagi2 buta. So aku dapat la lepaskan diri dengan mudahnya. Masa nk masuk highway kesas aku perasan dia kat sebelah aku terus memecut laju. Agaknya dia mls kot nk layan aku. Pastu aku tk jumpa lagi dh dia.
Semalam ms aku nk balik ke Banting pun mcm tu gak. Ade lori belakang aku pasang lampu tinggi. Ape la masalah korang ni. Aku pun pelik. Aku dengan rileksnya daripada 80km/j aku bawak ke 40km/j. Saja je slow biar la dia potong. Bukan sbb nk tail-getting dengan lori tu, cuma tak larat nk tahan silau. Sebab kalo aku nk tail-getting dengan lori bahaya tu. Biar la dia kat depan aku. At least tkde la silau mata ni dengan lampu tinggi dia. Tapi dia tk nk potong aku tu. Siot je. Ape masalah lori ni? Ade gak la 2-3 keter yang potong aku dengan lori tu sbb kitorang bawak slow sgt.
Lain kali aku nk letak sign la kat belakang keter aku tu. Tk pun tampal bumper sticker tulis “Jangan Pasang Lampu Tinggi Belakang Aku”.
Anyway, lain kali aku harap aku dapat mengawal diri di jalan raya supaya tidak mudah marah. Malas la aku nk layan orang kurang sivik kat atas jalan raya ni. Tk penah nk pikir pasal orang lain. Pikir pasal diri sendiri je.
Itu belum citer pasal keter besar yang tk suka guna signal kalo nk membelok. Agaknya keter besar2 skang ni tk dilengkapi dengan lampu signal kot. Ape guna beli keter mahal2 tapi tkde lampu signal.

Alhikayat, dalam sebuah hutan ada seekor badak sumbu dan seekor monyet. Mereka ni memang tak pernah baik, selalu jer bertengkar.. Pada suatu hari, sedang mereka bertengkar, mereka terjumpa sebuah pelita ajaib. Dipendekkan cerita, setelah digosok (jangan tak gosok), keluarlah seorang jin. Jin itu setuju untuk mengabulkan tiga permintaan bagi kedua2 menatang itu.

Permintaan 2 badak : Saya mau semua badak sumbu kat negeri pahang ni betina kecuali saya.. hehe.

Jin tu kelip mata lagi, bling… semua badak di pahang dah jadi betina, dan monyet tu pun dapat barang2 mat motornya tu.. Monyet tu memakai helmetnya, naik atas motor Harleynya, start enjin, kemudian melihat pada badak yang tersengih lebarr tu, “Saya mau badak tu jadi GAY” Jin tu pun kelipkan mata, bling… . Maka meraunglah badak sumbu tu. sepuas2nya.. “Mana aku nak cari badak jantan ni nyah… ish.. tak kuaassa nyah”

Aku suka pada apa yang aku buat, tapi…

Aku suka sangat pada keje aku ni. Aku sayang pada keje aku ni hingga kn aku dapat tawaran lain ke bidang yg bergaji lebih bagus pun aku tk layan. Aku suka pada ape yg aku buat skarang ni. Ini la impian aku selama ni. Ingin menjadi seorang programmer. Orang kata keje ni leceh, memeningkan, tak reti, susah, mcm2 la. Tp aku suka pada kerja ni. Aku mmg nk buat keje2 mcm ni. Aku suka belajar benda2 baru. Aku suka explore mcm2. Aku suka tengok hasil keje aku. Aku suka orang bagi idea yang membina pada hasil keje aku supaya aku dapat merubah ia menjadi lebih baik. Pendek kata aku suka buat programming. Tapi dengan kata lain jugak aku tk la sepandai mana dalam bidang ni. Masih banyak benda yang harus aku belajar. Masih banyak benda yang perlu aku kejar. Tapi berbaloi ke kalo aku keje bersusah payah, belajar pun bersusah payah tapi gaji tk seberapa. Mmg la yg paling penting ade passion pada keje tp kalo gaji tk seberapa dan benefits pun kurang terasa diri ni bekerja tak dihargai. Mmg la aku kerja untuk kepuasan diri. Tapi kalo bole tu orang kata sambil menyelam minum air. Kalo boleh kepuasan bekerja dapat dan gaji pun puas hati. Yela, kalo nk ikutkn byk mane gaji pun manusia ni tk penah nk rasa cukup. Tapi pada aku aku cukup untuk bagi mak bapak skit, byr duit keter, bayar duit rumah, duit utk brg2 dapur, byr insurans bulan2, blanje seharian dan buat simpan skit utk kawin. Cukup la. bukan nk mintak supaya keje jd kaya raya.

Aku suka keje kat company skarang ni. Keje mencabar, boleh timba byk pengalaman, boleh blaja mcm2 perkara. Programming pun tkde la buat PHP je. Ade gak involve buat mobile cam .net dan j2me kat blackberry. Itu yang aku suka. Tapi kalo nak dibandingkan dgn beban kerja dgn gj rs nk keje pun tk semangat. Tu sbb kdg2 buat keje pun mls2. Aku slalu je dtg awal ke opis, slalu balik lmbt ke rumah. Kalo tk siapkn keje aku browse2 kat google cari tutorial atau tips2 baru supaya dapat menambah lagi ilmu didada(cheeewah!). Tapi biler dapat letter of confirmation hr tu rs kecewa, rs tertipu pun ade… Igtkn dh confirm ade la naik gj. Rupa2nya confirm potong epf je. Siot tul. Makin sikit la gj. Tkde ke tempat keje yang meghargai pekerja2 mereka yg btul2 nk keje, yang btul2 ade rasa nk majukan diri mereka?
Baru2 ni FAMA ade gak tawarkan aku keje dgn diorang. Buat PHP dan jaga sistem yang sedia ada. Jawatan Pegawai Hal Ehwal Ekonomi. Tapi keje buat programming untuk bahagian pemasaran FAMA. Gaji boleh tahan. Biasa la pegawai2 gomen skang kan dh naik gaji. Tapi kalo aku pikir2 balik, kalo aku terima nnt aku kerja buat php je, maintain sistem yang sedia ada dan kalo ade sebarang penambahan dh tentu aku la orang yang diorang akan cari dulu. Jawatan plak bukan Pegawai Teknologi Maklumat ke tp Pegawai Hal ehwal ekonomi. Kalo keje programming dh settle, dh tkde keje sangat dh tentu aku perlu buat paper work yang aku benci. Cukup tk minat aku nk buat keje2 paperwork ni. Tak larat nak menaip. Sedangkan nk update blog ni pun aku malas. Ni kan la plak nk kejekan paperwork. Pergh, tk mau. Tambahan plak dh tentu aku susah nk explore byk perkara dlm bidang programming. Akhirnya aku hanya pakar dalam satu perkara je yang lama kelamaan mungkin satu hari nnt orang dh tk pki lg. Yela, bidang IT ni kan masih lagi berkembang. The learning curve is still there. Sebab tu la aku tk rasa teruja nk masuk keje dengan FAMA.
Aku rasa ade syarikat2 diluar sana yang akan lebih menghargai aku bekerja dengan mereka. Insyaallah. Aku akan terus mencari.

3. Pick up a plate
4. Get rice
5. Get any dish they like
6. Walk to the counter, pay for the food and the drinks
7. Eat
8. Done eating
9. Get back to the office or
10. to the surau

Women
1. At lunch, walk to the diner’s place
2. Look at people while walking
3. Talks about people at the back
4. Tidy up their tudung while walking, look at their own dress and even feet.
5. Look at other’s dress especially the pretty ones.
6. At the diner, just looking and looking
7. If too many people find another eating place.
8. Walk even more
9. If satisfied…. get in…
10. Survey the dish first for 2, 3 minutes.
11. Search for the right plate(any plate can do actually), pick the plate
12. Examine the plate, wether clean or not. if it’s not clean…eeeeiiii..
